VOORHEES - A definite buzz swirled thru Voorhees, New Jersey as the Eastern Vikings got set to take on the Camden Panthers. It wasn’t just the excitement of the start of the 2000-2001 high school basketball season, it was the sight of former Viking standout Adam Taliaferro at courtside. Taliaferro, now a freshman at Penn State, suffered partial paralysis while making a tackle for the Nittany Lions earlier this year. The sight of Taliaferro back at Eastern for the home opener versus the mighty Panthers brought a roar from the crowd and undoubtedly provided a tremendous lift to all in attendance. The S.J. Rock would like to extend well wishes to Adam Taliaferro and his family. We hope for a speedy recovery. Good to see you back home!
