The Man, The Myth, The Messiah

At guard, in his 10th year out of Memphis by
way of 'The Castle on the Hill'... standing six-foot-four... the 2003
NBA Rookie of the Year... a 9-time all-star... owner of 5 NBA championship
rings... a seven-time MVP and four-time NBA defensive player of the
year... a 2004 and 2008 US gold medal winner and five-time Schick(tm)
Player of the Year... number twenty-one... the one and only "Messiah"...
Dajuan Wagner.
Okay. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. After
all, he's only a senior. In high school. All of those accolades will
have to wait. We'll simply begin by calling him "The Messiah", and the
#1 player in the nation.
South Jersey has never seen a greater talent.
Let's put that discussion to rest. North Jersey has never seen a more
gifted player. Let's cast the haters aside. DaJuan Wagner is the best
player in the history of the state.
In just three short seasons, DaJuan Wagner has
become a legend. He has been the heart and soul of the city of Camden
since bursting onto the scene as a freshman when he averaged over 26
points per game and led Camden to an improbable South Jersey Group 3
championship over Middle Township. As a sophomore, Wagner led the Panthers
to a 14-3 record during an abbreviated season, averaging 35.3 points
per game. During last season's Tournament of Champions championship
campaign, Wagner guided the Panthers to a 28-5 record while scoring
at a 31.9 points per game clip.
